1Day Sooner Website Rebuild
What I did:
Improved website visitor retention by redesigning a client website using Squarespace
Increased digital traffic to attract more volunteers by creating a call-to-action homepage
Improved client experience by simplifying website maintenance and adding header icons designed in Figma to Squarespace code
Increased retention and user-friendliness by reorganizing website tabs, drop-down menus, and breaking down long, text-heavy pages
Created low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity Figma website mock-ups to confirm client expectation
1Day Sooner, a start-up non-profit organization, reached out to Develop for Good for a team to remodel their website and create interactive data visualizations to reflect their activities and positions on the latest vaccine developments.
The team helped redesign 1Day Sooner’s website and create interactive visualizations that would help create awareness about COVID-19 risk and vaccine funding.
The main goal of the website redesign was to reflect 1Day Sooner activities and positions on the latest COVID-19 vaccine developments, with up-to-date information and visualizations. 1Day Sooner also has a multitude of resources on the pandemic, so the website should have maintained a base for COVID-19 resources from the research team. Some of the projects and requirements we were tasked with implementing were primarily encouraging advocates to join 1Day Sooner or volunteer in human trials for COVID-19, along with a volunteer map, volunteer hub, resource base, press section, and other pages.
